Coach Borchers has been hard at work trying to improve the Emmanuel College Men's Soccer Program.   "We have brought in 10-11 new recruits from all over" says Borchers.  Borchers has players coming in from South Carolina, different parts of Georgia, and more international players.  This year, Borchers is welcoming Alex Wright, Edward Green, and Ben Malone from England, UK.  "I am very excited about these three young men joining the program.  I hope they will add to the culture we are creating within the program as well as help take us to the competitive potential I know we can reach" says Coach Borchers.

Along with the English lads, Borchers has added newcomers Josh Freese, Jonah Holbert, Daniel Suacedo and Jonathan Faile.  These young men are all going to be looked at to help with goal production.  Borchers stated "our defense was very organized and difficult to breakdown last year, and we return many of those players, but we lacked in goal production, which is why I looked to bring players like Holbet, Saucedo, and Freese".

With 11 newcomers joining the EC Soccer program, Borchers has high expectations for the Soccer Lions, "we are adding a lot of talent and depth to the program.  If we can get everyone, returners and newcomers, on the same page, play with passion, and play with confidence we will be very successful and will be challenging for spots in the SSAC and NCCAA  play-offs" exclaimed Borchers.
