Kennesaw, GA---Miki Cain is the latest signing for Emmanuel College Women's Soccer for the 2012 season.

Cain is a home-schooled student who plays her club soccer at the North Atlanta Soccer Association (NASA).  This same NASA team also was home to two current EC players Carleen Striss and Kelly Hall.

"Miki is a tough, no-nonsense defender who plays well with the ball at her feet," said Head Coach Forrest Wimberly.  "Miki fits in really well with our soccer plans and already has these connections with Striss and Hall.  We place a very high value on these connections both on and off the field."

"Our 2012 recruiting class is really taking shape and I'm very happy with the players who'll be joining our program," said Wimberly.  "We've made it a priority to recruit the person, the student, and the soccer player in that order...and by expecting excellence in all these areas we have added incredible strength and people to what we're doing through the EC Women's Soccer program."

The Lions open the spring 2012 season hosting Converse College on March 17 and then open the fall 2012 season hosting Columbia College on August 20.
