Franklin Springs, GA---The Emmanuel College Men's Basketball team returned to their home court Friday night riding high on a three-game winning streak.  Impressive wins over defending NAIA national champs (RV) Pikeville and perennial power (14) Evangel over the Christmas break sees the Lions playing well entering this stretch of SSAC conference games.

The Lions, now 10-5 (3-2 in SSAC play), wasted little time grabbing an early lead they'd hold the entire evening against a stubborn Auburn University at Montgomery team. AUM came to battle and the game was a choppy start-stop contest with a flurry of fouls as both teams went toe to toe all game long.

EC opened up a 13-point lead in the first half to then hold a 31-23 halftime advantage.  The second half saw AUM battle back to get within a possession of the lead three separate times but EC always had an answer to retain the lead.

Asmatiek Fields led the Lions with 20 points while Graham Maxwell led the team with 7 rebounds adding 14 points.

Emmanuel College plays Mobile on Saturday, January 7 at 5 PM.
