Franklin Springs, GA---It's 85 degrees in Fort Myers, Florida and the Emmanuel College baseball team leaves the cool Georgia afternoons to open the 2012 baseball season this weekend at Ave Maria University.  The Lions will play a three-game series in Florida.

The 2012 home dates open February 3 and 4 as (RV) Martin Methodist calls on the Lions.  First pitch is 2 pm on Friday and 1 pm on Saturday.

SSAC play opens for the Lions as NAIA #3 ranked Lee University visits the Springs on February 17 and 18.

Seven of the Lion's 2012 opponents are receiving attention in the national NAIA polls with four SSAC conference foes ranked in the top 25.

Another huge series during the season is the 'Lil Bronze Peach competition when the Lions travel to play three games at Southern Wesleyan on March 16 and 17.
