Fri, Feb. 3, 2012 - [Men's Volleyball]
Jason Farr comes to us from Lincoln Christian University where he has been coaching volleyball for the past eleven years. As an assistant coach, his team won the NCCAA Division II National Championship in 2003, and was national runner ups in 2004 and 2006. After taking over as head coach, Coach Farr's teams finished as national runner ups in 2008 and 2009. During his tenure at LCU, Coach Farr also has had 5 teams recognized as AVCA Scholar Teams. In 2011, the Lincoln Christian University Red Lions made their fifteenth consecutive trip to the National Championship Tournament and finished in the final four.
Jason is looking forward to starting a new program with new challenges. "From the moment that Emmanuel College contacted me till now they have been consistent in their communication. They wanted me to be their first Men's Volleyball Coach. I had always had the passion to move up to a higher level and Emmanuel will be able to provide that step for me. Although, I was not expecting to be able to continue to coach at a school with a religious emphasis and now I have the opportunity to continue nurturing young men in their walk with Christ."
Coach Farr will be moving to Georgia in early March to join our staff. He will be followed by his wife Stephanie with which he has been married to for over eleven years. He also has two children Alex (8) and Jordan (5) who are aspiring to be volleyball players someday.
