Franklin Springs, GA---The Emmanuel College women's basketball team used a balanced attack Monday night to down the Point University Skyhawks 76-44 in the NCCAA South Region semi-finals.

14 different Lions scored in the victory led by Kryston Young with 11 and Kaylyn Young with 10.  Joreshica Martin was big under the glass snatching 11 rebounds and adding 9 points on the evening.

EC ran out to an early 16-2 lead and never looked back taking a 43-26 lead into the half.  The frequent substitutions and depth of the EC bench ensures the Lions are rested and ready for the finals Tuesday night.

EC is the host school in the tournament and plays the North Greenville University Crusaders at 6 pm Tuesday night in the Springs for the region crown.

NGU posted a 20-8 record in 2012 and defeated the Lions 65-58 way back in November in their previous meeting in Tigerville, SC.
