Franklin Springs, GA---The Emmanuel College women's soccer team has added four international players to complete the 2012 recruiting class.  These four players join Georgia-based recruits Mary Able and Miki Cain in the 2012 class.

Emma Tamblyn is from Kempsey, New South Wales, Australia and is a 5' 8" forward who played for the Macleay Valley Rangers Soccer Club.  Emma was named player of the match in the Women's Mid-North Coast Open grand final and was both the swimming and cross county champion at Saint Joseph's Regional College during her prep career.

Liene Vaciete is a transfer student from NCAA D1 Georgia State University who is originally from Riga, Latvia in northeastern Europe.  A skillful 5' 7" midfielder and forward, Liene has been part of the Latvian national team program playing in the European championships on several occasions (U17 in 2007, U19 in 2008 and 2009).  Liene is also a member of the Latvian national rugby team.

Justine Wright (pictured above with ICCC Head Coach McGowan) is a third Australian who has spent the past two years at Iowa Central Community College collecting NJCAA Region First team and NSCAA All-Central Region First team honors in 2011.  A strong 5' 10" central defender, Justine is from Mackay, Queensland and also was a member of the ICCC swimming team in Iowa.

"We are very excited about these players joining us here at Emmanuel College and look forward to the energy they will bring to our program," said Head Coach Forrest Wimberly.  "We identified these players very early in the recruiting process and our clarity, focus, and common goals made all of these players the perfect fit with our programs.  Adding this group to the very strong group of returning players makes us a very dangerous team moving forward this fall."

The Lions open the fall exhibition match schedule on August 14 hosting Bob Jones University at 7 pm.

The Lions then open the 2012 regular season hosting NCAA D1 South Carolina State on Saturday, August 18 at 4 pm.
