
Franklin Springs, GA---Emily King has been announced as a new Women's Lacrosse Coach and a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Lions. Emily King comes to Emmanuel College after a successful career as a certified college strength and conditioning coach. Emily had the opportunity to work with a multitude of athletes including but not limited to football, men's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's lacrosse, swimming and diving and softball. Emily worked at several Division I universities such as The United States Naval Academy, University of New Mexico, Virginia Tech and the University of Georgia.
As a player, Emily King played collegiate lacrosse at Anne Arundel Community College and James Madison University. While playing at Anne Arundel CC Emily was named most improved player as well as most valuable player twice. While pursuing her degree from the University of Maryland, Emily helped coach her alma mater to their first 20 -0 season as well as their first state title. Emily earned a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. While working at Virginia Tech, Emily began her Master's Degree in health promotions before moving to Georgia.
Emily King and her husband Rusty live in Royston with their two children Hunter (6) and Ashton (4). Emily still competes today in local road races as well as local and regional half ironman triathlons.
