WOMEN SWIMMING WIN ON SENIOR DAY

Franklin Springs, GA: The Lady Lions defeated Limestone College at home on Senior Day. Senior captain Sarah Curtright was recognized for her outstanding accomplishments in the pool and classroom.

The women won 8 events, finished second 7 times, and third 7 times; defeating Limestone College 145-104. Top EC performances included:

In the 200-medley relay (Calka, Simioni, Monges, Arnold) Finished 1st (1:50.00). In the 1000 free, Juana Mafla finished 2nd (11:27.22). In the 200 free, Karolina Ostojska finished 2nd (1:57.43). In the 100 back Julia Simioni finished 1st (1:01.40). In the 100 breast, Juliana Ribeiro finished 2nd (1:08.06). In the 50 free, Carmen Arnold finished 1st (24.90), Ostojska 3rd (25.32).

In the 100 free, Clara Monges finished 1st (54.63), Bouckaert 2nd (55.25). In the 200 back, Anna Calka finished 1st (2:12.55). In the 100 fly, Clara Monges finished 1st (59.29) Bouckaert 3rd (1:01.46). In the 200 free relay (Ribeiro, Mafla, Ostojska, Arnold) finished 1st (1:41.39).

Next up, the Lady Lions will be hosting a quad meet Friday January 26 at 6:00pm and Saturday January 27 at 11:00am. They will be competing against Brenau University, Point University, and South Georgia State College. GO LIONS!
