The Lady Lions are the 2018 Sun Coast Swimming Conference champions, finishing 1st of 8 teams, with 864 points. Over the 3-day championships the EC women won 12 out of the 18 events contested; set 5 EC school records, 12 conference records, and come home with 27 conference champions!
Clara Monges was named MVP of the meet. Monges won all 3 of her individual events (100 fly, 200 free, 100 free) and with the help of her relay teammates, won all 5 relays (200, 400, 800 free & 200, 400 medley).
This is the first conference championships win for the Lady Lions swim team, who finished their regular dual meet season undefeated at 12-0; and earned the #1 Women's NCAA Div. II Team GPA this Fall with a 3.75!

Head Coach, Allen Gilchrest was also awarded Women's Coach of the Year for the Sun Coast Swimming Conference.
Next up, the Lady Lions head to the ECAC Swimming and Diving Open Championships, being held at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ (February 23-25, 2018). GO LIONS!
