Sewanee, TN --- The Men's swimming team competed at the 18th annual Sewanee Invitational in Sewanee, TN. A 2-day meet, with 6 teams (Sewanee, Milligan, Birmingham-Southern, LaGrange, Warren Wilson, Emmanuel) who competed in 21 events.


Day 2, how it happened:

In the 200 medley relay, the A team (Rosa, Courteaux, Mendes, Brown) finished 1st (1:38.41)

In the 400 IM, Ander Arruabarrena set the meet and pool record, finishing 1st (4:05.45) Alasdair McGhee 2nd (4:21.42) Stanislas Raczynski (4:29.37)

In the 50 free, Thiago Rosa set the meet record finishing 1st (21.15) Rafael Mendes 2nd (21.92) Juan Riano 6th (23.51) Simon Roberts 10th (24.48) Harrison Andrews 11th (24.72)

In the 100 back, Hunter Hayes finished 2nd (55.73) Robert Jones 3rd (56.23) David Brown 4th (59.08) Harrison Andrews 9th (1:06.04)


In the 100 breast, Theo Courteaux finished 1st (1:00.86) Juan Riano 3rd (1:01.81) Robert Jones 4th (1:05.84) 

In the 200 free, Thiago Rosa finished 1st (1:47.71) Simon Roberts 8th (2:04.24)

In the 200 fly, Ander Arruabarrena set the meet record finishing 1st (1:56.70) Hunter Hayes 3rd (2:04,31)

In the 500 free, Stanislas Raczynski set the meet record, finishing 1st (4:40.62)

In the 100 free, Thiago Rosa set the meet record, finishing 1st in (46.39) Rafael Mendes also broke the meet record, finishing 2nd (47.39) David Brown 5th (51.16)


In the 200 back, Alasdair McGhee finished 1st (2:00.72) Robert Jones 2nd (2:06.22) Harrison Andrews 7th (2:17.38)

In the 200 breast, Theo Courteaux 2nd (2:18.83) Juan Riano 3rd (2:21.61) Simon Roberts 7th (2:43.44)

In the 100 fly, Ander Arruabarrena finished 1st (53.45) Rafael Mendes 2nd (53.86) Theo Courteaux 12th (1:06.93)

In the 200 IM, Hunter Hayes finished 2nd (2:02.82) Stanislas Raczynski 4th (2:04.04) Alasdair McGhee 5th (2:05.66) 

In the 200 free relay, the A relay (Raczynski, McGhee, Arruabarrena, Andrews) finished 1st (1:34.09)


The Lions finished the meet winning a total of 17 out of 21 events and set 9 meet records, finishing 1st overall:
