WOMEN’S SWIMMING VICTORIOUS ON SENIOR DAY

Franklin Springs, GA - - The Women's Swimming team defeated South Georgia State College, Point University, Life University, and Brenau University at home on Senior day, Saturday January 26, 2019.

The Lady Lions won 6 out of the 10 events contested, finishing the dual meet season with a record of 13-2.

 

How it happened:

In the 200 medley relay, the A relay (Hunter, Simioni, Hayes, Arnold) finished 1st (1:53.84) the B relay (Bouckaert, Ostojska, Ribeiro, Calka) finished 5th (2:00.54)

 

In the 1650 free, Mafla finished 1st (18:57.78) Calka finished 2nd (19:04.48)

In the 200 free, Ostojska finished 1st (2.00.28) Mafla 2nd (2:02.96) Rodriguez 3rd (2:05.05) Bouckaert 5th (2:07.07) Harkness 9th (2:09.92)

In the 50 free, Arnold finished 1st (24.96) Scharff 6th (26.62) Svonja 8th (26.86) Pieterse 14th (29.36)

In the 400 IM, Calka finished 2nd (4:53.89) Duarte 4th (5:17.74)

 

In the 100 fly, Bouckaert finished 1st (1:00.40) Ostojska 2nd (1:02.53) Hunter 7th (1:05.19) Harkness 9th (1:07.3)

In the 100 free, Rodriguez finished 1st (58.04) Hayes 2nd (59.12) Pieterse 8th (1:03.98)

In the 100 back, Simioni finished 2nd (1:02.90) Svonja 3rd (1:04.56) Scharff 7th (1:06.15) Hunter 8th (1:06.69)

In the 100 breast, Simioni finished 2nd (1:10.96) Ribeiro 3rd (1:12.51) Arnold 4th (1:12.56) Duarte 11th (1:21.10)

 

In the 200 free relay, the A relay (Hayes, Svonja, Arnold, Pieterse) finished 2nd (1:47.98) the B relay (Mafla, Harkness, Duarte, Ribeiro) finished 3rd (1:50.75)
