FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. Emmanuel College Head Men' and Women's Swimming Coach, Allen Gilchrest, earned his 100th dual meet victory last week, as his teams closed out the dual meet season with multiple wins Vs. Point, Brenau, Life, and SGSC.

In 2013, Gilchrest moved from Laramie, Wyoming (1500 miles) to start Emmanuel's first collegiate swimming team. In just 6 seasons his teams have combined for a dual meet record of 100-26.

46 and 10 men = 82%

54 and 16 women = 77%

This Fall, Emmanuel College earned full NCAA Div. II membership and Conference Carolinas membership.

Both of Gilchrest's teams are ranked #1 in Conference Carolinas, heading into the Championship meet next week (February 6-9, at the MAC in Charlotte, North Carolina) and both teams have earned qualifying times for the 2019 NCAA Div. II National Championships next month (March 13-16, in Indianapolis, Indiana).

"I thank God first and foremost for the opportunity to be here," Gilchrest said. "Emmanuel for giving me the opportunity to be the coach here. All the student-athletes and alumni I have had the privilege to coach, so far! And I want to thank my assistant Bernadette Audet, who has been my assistant since I started this program."
