Lions Take Early Lead Against Bob Jones

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.—The Emmanuel College Lions took the lead early in the first home game of the season Tuesday night and never looked back, beating the Bruins from Bob Jones 92-51.

The Lions came out hard with a lead of 8-2 to start the game. The Bruins attempted to mount a comeback, but the Lions continued their lead.

Back to back three-pointers from Steven Guinchard gave the Lions a 10-point lead, and a 52-28 lead by the end of the first half, shooting 62% from the field.

The Lions took a 10-4 to start the second half, and continued to pull away from the Bruins. The Lions continued the lead to as much as 49 points, and took the win over the Bruins 92-51.

The Lions shot 68% from the free-throw line and capitalized with 30 points off of turnovers.

Johan Pennerat put up 13 points for the Lions, while Luke Miller and Terrance Polk each added 11 points. Guinchard shot 75% from the three-point line to add nine points. Michael Stanley pulled down seven rebounds, and Austin Farrow dished out four assists for the night.

The Lions have over a week off to prepare for their road trip to North Georgia on Thursday, November 20th, tip off is set for 7:00 PM.
