Franklin Springs, GA. -- Head Coach TJ Rosene has announced his men's basketball team's schedule for the upcoming 2015-16 season. Included are 20 Conference Carolinas Conference games, 8 non-conference games and one exhibition game.
The Lions will open the season Nov. 13 with the Conference Carolina-Peach Belt Challenge in Dahlonega, GA. This Challenge will give Coach Rosene an opportunity to evaluate his young squad that is laced with several freshman and an experienced front court.
"We have a challenging non-conference schedule which will prepare us well for Conference play," said Rosene. "We have an exciting trip to Atlanta to play Georgia State, which will be a great experience for our guys. Additionally, Georgia Southwestern returns to the schedule after several years of absence. They finished regular season play ranked 3rd in the Peach Belt Conference last season and will be a very good appointment for the Lions. "We are looking forward to the challenges." said Rosene.
The Lions face defending Conference Carolinas regular season champ Mt. Olive University twice again this season, Jan. 2nd at home and Jan 13 on the road. Rosene's squad will face defending Conference Carolinas Tournament champions North Greenville Dec 1st at home and Jan 23rd on the road and arch rival Southern Wesleyan January 18th at home and February 6thon the road.
We are grateful for our fans who support us at home and on the road. We anticipate a continued strong following by our fans, alumni, and donors who attend games in North and South Carolina. Go Lions!
