EC defeats #7 King for the third straight conference Win!

FRANKLIN SPRINGS- The Lions came into Thursday night with a 5-1 record. Having won five straight games, the men were ready to take on the tornado's at the nationally ranked #7, and conference foe, King University.

Zach Lillie helped the Lions knock down several shots in the opening minutes of the game. The tornado's scored back-to-back shots to keep up with the lions. The Tornado's would gain an advantage but with key plays from, Zach Lillie, Elijah Robison and several three's from Steven Guinchard throughout the game, the lions ended the first quarter 34-29.
In the second half, the Tornado's picked up their defense intensity, to remain in the game. The Tornado's were able to work the ball around for open opportunities, but the Lions found a way to keep the game close. The Tornado's sensed the pressure and began to cut back into the lead, but each time the lions responded with defensive plays from Kurtis Robison, and Willy Akasson.
The Tornado's defense continued and forced the Lions into tough shots. With just five minutes left in the game the Lions began firing away, Zach Lillie drove to the lane and dunked to bring the Tornado's to a defensive stop.
