Clara Monges is a freshman on the women's swim team from Toulon, France. In her first collegiate swim meet she played a crucial role in the Lady Lions defeating Limestone College by a score of 116-88. This was a big win for the team because it is the first time in school history that the ladies have beaten Limestone in a dual meet. Monges has an impressive set of results from the meet: 2nd 200 med r. (50 fly split 26.62) fastest EC fly split ever, 1st 200 free (1:58.14) missed school record by .15 seconds, and 2nd 100 free (54.32) which is a new EC school record.
Up next, the women's swimming team will compete at the Brenau/SGSC/Point Quad meet in Gainesville, GA on January 28th at 11 A.M.
Ronnie Stanley is a senior on the men's basketball team from Stockton, Alabama. Stanley played a crucial role in the Lions dominant win over King Univeristy, going 8-14 from the three point line and scoring, a career high and team season high, 26 points. This season, Stanley boasts an impressive 13.5 points per game while shooting 38.3% from the three point line. Stanleys defensive skills as well as his shooting capabilities make him a dual threat on the court.
