HIGH POINT, N.C. – Emmanuel College guard Kendrick Colvin has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 26 - Dec. 2, the Conference announced today.
A senior from Moncure, N.C., Colvin averaged 29 points on 77.4% shooting from the field with 13 rebounds, 3.5 steals, two assists and 1.5 blocks to lead the Lions to a pair of victories last week. Colvin also eclipsed the 1000-point mark for his career during the week.
Colvin notched his first double-double of the week with 27 points and 12 rebounds in just 22 minutes of a 95-39 win over Bob Jones. He would also add five steals, three blocks and two assists in the victory. In the conference opener against Lees-McRae, Colvin went for 31 points and 14 rebounds with two dimes and two steals to lead Emmanuel to a 91-88 win.
Colvin currently averages 22.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.6 assists per game. His points, rebounds and steals per game rank first in Conference Carolinas.
