Bowling competes in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV – The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's bowling team flew out to Las Vegas, NV to compete in the Glen Carlson Las Vegas Invitational.

During competition, the Emmanuel Men's bowlers scored a combined team total score of 8,397 over 9 games. Out of 37 teams the men claimed the 16th spot, giving them an opportunity to compete in the final tournament. In the first round of the finals, the men upset the #1 seed in the tournament Urbana University. Defeating them 3-0, the men advanced to the quarterfinals before being defeated by Pikeville 3-2.

On the women's side, the lady lions scored a combined team total of 8,127 over 9 games. Out of 18 teams, the ladies finished 10th, falling short of the final tournament by just 2 spots.

Kyle Ortiz led the men with an average of 193.67, while the women were led by Chelsea Lein with an average of 189.67.

The Bowlers will continue competition January 9th in Tallahassee, FL at the Seminole Classic.
