Lions Face University of Alabama Huntsville

Huntsville, Alabama – Last Saturday the Lions traveled to Huntsville, Ala to play against The University of Alabama at Huntsville. The Lions tried their best but they had a difficult time. The University of Alabama in Huntsville conquered a solid victory with the score of 18 -3 against the lions. With this win, the UAH improved to 1-2 for the season, and the Lions dropped to 3-0.

On the Lions side sophomore Cam Free was the best scorer with 2 goals out of the 3 shots he made. Cam Free also assisted Austin Brundage  on the other goal for the Lions.

Defensively, Christopher Gerstmyer claimed 2 out of 5 turnovers for the team. Follow by Keaton Underhill, Austin Brundage  and Luke Harris with 1 each.

Freshman Luke Harris who stayed in the goals for the entire 60 minutes, had 13 saves out of 31 shots taken against him. Also, he had 5 ground balls and caused 1 turnover. The Lions collectively had 27 ground balls, 9 successful clears, and won 8-25 faceoffs. The Lions spent 2 minutes 30 seconds on 3 infractions and Ala.-Huntsville 1 minute 30 seconds on 2 infractions. 

The Lions will be back in action on Wednesday, March 1st at 4:00 PM for conference game at Emmanuel College.
