Lions Lacrosse Fall to Chowan

Murfreesboro, N.C.– The Lions went to the Chowan University for their third conference game in this season. The Lions had a complicated game losing for 22-7. They still have four more conference game in this season.

The Lions were in trouble in the first 3 periods, but in the last one they adjusted their game and played equally against Chowan University. The Lions one yellow cards issued, coming in the first half to Christian Wadley. They spent 7 minutes on 9 infractions. Also, the Lions won 19 out of 28 face offs in the entire game.

On the offensive front Tyler Machado , Cam Free  and Austin Brundage led the team with 2 goals each one. Tanner Smith contributed with 1 goal. Tyler Machado  also, helped the team with 3 assistants.

Defensively, Josh Hunter led the team in caused turnovers claiming 2 out of the team total of 7. In the goal for the entire 60 minutes, freshman Luke Harris had 13 saves out of 35 shots taken against him. He also claimed 7 groundballs. The team successfully completed 13-17 clears while only having 9 fouls.

The Lions will be back in action on Tuesday, March 28th at 4:00 PM at Shorter University.
