Lions Fall to Florida Southern

LAKELAND, Fl. – The Emmanuel College Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Lakeland, FL to face the Florida Southern Moccasins on March 4th.

Florida Southern came out with a long scoring run in the first half. They scored 9 goals in both the first and second quarter. Unable to get a point on the board, The lions trailed the first half 18-0.

The second half started with another goal from Florida Southern but Emmanuel's Lance Olson quickly responded with Emmanuel's first goal of the day, making the score 19-1. The Moccasin's went on to score three more goals in the third quarter.

The lions came out strong in the fourth quarter with a goal from Alex Stull, assisted by Cam Free. Florida Southern then scored the final three goals making the final score of the game 25-2, FL Southern.
The lions ended the game with 24 turnovers, 20 shot attempts, and 22 ground balls. The lions went 5-31 in faceoffs and had 17 saves. Ethan Brundage had 9 saves and Luke Harris had 8.

The Lions will take on Palm Beach Atlantic March 7th at in West Palm Beach, FL.
