Daytona Beach, FL - The Lions soccer team traveled to Embry-Riddle to play Auburn Montgomery today, winning 4-2.
The men's soccer team defeated Auburn Montgomery University at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida this afternoon. Blair Springhall scored the first goal of the match at the 11 minute, putting the Lions in the lead.
Early in the second period, Channing Park scored the third goal for the Lions, with an assist by Martin Mitreski and Danny Cameron in the 50th minute. Aub-Montgomery responded with their first goal of the match at 55:15. The final goal for the Lions was a penalty kick converted by Nico Becker, who was assisted by Nick Miller who was fouled to draw the penalty.
Aub-Montgomery scored a second goal towards the end of the period in the 81st minute, but the Lions still came out on top with a 4-2 win.
The men will play a second match at Embry-Riddle against Embry-Riddle tomorrow, Saturday, November 5, at 6:30 p.m.
