WEST POINT, Ga. - In their third consecutive away game of the season, the men's soccer team dropped a tough match to Point University on Wednesday night with a final score of 1-0.
The Lions were narrowly outshot 13 to 12, with Point having 6 shots on goal compared to Emmanuel's 5.
Just under fifteen minutes into the game, Point's Noah Elam fired a shot off of an assist from Juan Gomez to claim the only goal of the night.
The Lions had an opportunity to even the score early in the second half when Senior Channing Park was afforded a penalty kick, but the shot was saved by goalkeeper Brin Lapuh.
Freshman goalkeeper Kenneth Vining returned the favor for the Lions by foiling a penalty kick attempt from the Skyhawks later in the match, bringing his save count to 5 for the night.
Men's soccer will hope to claim their first win on Saturday as they take on conference opponent King University at home. Kick off is set for 3:30pm.
