Men's Soccer Captures Another Conference Win

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College men's soccer team improved their conference record to 4-1 after a victory over Southern Wesleyan on Wednesday night. While the Lions trailed by two shots on goal, they defeated the Warriors 2-1.

Southern Wesleyan was the first to score when Malik Ibrahim fired a shot into the bottom left corner in SWU's first shot of the night.

Seven minutes later, a foul from Southern Wesleyan setup Emmanuel with a penalty kick. Junior Danny McKerchar Cameron would take advantage of this opportunity with his 8th season goal.

After several more unsuccessful shots from the Lions, Cameron would once again find the net with a quick shot into the top left corner. Senior Channing Park had the assist.

The rest of the match remained scoreless despite numerous close attempts.

Senior goalkeeper Andy Dunnett tallied 7 saves.

Next up for the Lions is a home game against Barton College on Saturday, October 6th at 4:30pm.
