MEN’S SWIMMING MOVES TO 3-0

Franklin Springs, GA – Men's swimming competed in a Quad meet at home against Point University, Campbellsville University and Bethel University on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA.

The men won 10 out of 11 events and Adrian Aleksandrowicz swam 20.86 in the 50 free, which is currently the #1 NCAA Div. II time in the country.

STROKE
In the men's stroke events Jones (2:05.72) finished 1st, Carrasquilla (2:06.42) placed 2nd and Bonna (2:11.36) placed 3rd in the men's 200 yard IM. In the 100 fly Brown (55.63) finished 2nd, Armes (1:00.71) placed 4th and Perry (1:03.57) placed 5th. Aleksandrowicz (52.11) finished 1st, Reichenbach (56.44) placed 2nd and Pendergraft (59.90) placed 3rd in the 100 back. Stigant (1:01.28) finished 1st, Jones (1:03.64) placed 2nd and Carrasquilla (1:03.96) placed 3rd in the men's 100 breast.

SPRINT
In the men's 50 yard free Aleksandrowicz (20.86) finished 1st, Reichenbach(22.17) placed 2nd, Stigant (22.56) and placed 3rd. Bonna (51.84) finished 1st, Roberts (53.03) placed 2nd and Foxworth (1:02.03) placed 6th in the men's 100 free. Raczynski (1:49.56) finished 1st, Rabern (2:05.26) placed 5th and Foxworth (2:18.23) placed 7th in the 200 yard free.

DISTANCE
In the men's distance events Raczynski (9:56.34) finished 1st and Williamson (10:32.03) placed 2nd in the 1000 yard free. In the 500 free, Raczynski (4:52.30) placed 1st, Williamson (5:03.86) placed 2nd and Rabern (5:46.00) placed 6th.

RELAYS

The men's meet began with the men's 200-yard medley relay; Aleksandrowicz, Jones, Brown, and Perry (1:41.61) finished 1st followed by Pendergraft, Stigant, Bonna, and Roberts (1:45.06) placing 2nd.

The men's meet ended with the 200 yard free relay; Brown, Carrasquilla, Roberts, and Reichenbach (1:32.37) placed 1st and Williamson, Perry, Pendergraft, and Arms (1:35.70) placed 4th

Men's captain, David Rabern, commented after the meet; "Pushing through our hard training we competed fast, allowing it to be a great meet and a great learning experience!"
 
Next up, the lions compete at home on Saturday October 22, 2016 in another Quad meet against Warren Wilson, Life University, and King University, with a 1:00pm start. GO LIONS!
