MEN SWIMMING EARNS 12 SPOTS IN FINALS TONIGHT

Christiansburg, VA: Men's swimming competed in day 3 prelims this morning, in the 10th Annual Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships. 12 individual men finished in the top 16 and will compete in finals tonight.

In the 400 IM, Camilo Mendoza finished 2nd (4:11.20), Julian Perry 16th (5:48.47).

 

In the 100 fly, Pedro Illescas finished 1st (49.89), David Brown 15th (53.89).

In the 200 free, Alex Sobers finished 4th (1:44.02, Rafael Mendes 7th (1:45.93).

In the 100 breast, Jarred Stigant finished 6th (1:00.63), Roberts Jones 8th (1:00.90), Cristhian Carrasquilla 15th (1:03.42). 

In the 100 back, Adrian Aleksandrowicz finished 1st (50.81), David Brown 12th (54.88), Hayden Pendergraft 16th (55.99), and Simon Roberts 24th (1:04.86).

Swimmer, Jarred Stigant; "It was a great morning of swimming, excited with the times that I achieved and the rest of the team as well, although we had some unexpected disqualifications, it was awesome to see the character and spirit everyone is showing!"
