MEN SWIMMING SEATED 1ST IN ALL 6 EVENTS TONIGHT

The Lions had a fantastic morning, finishing 1st in all 4 events contested, 4 guys finishing in the top 8 in the 100 free, and 13 guys making it back for finals tonight. Stanislas Raczynski, the defending champion, is seated 1st in the 1650 tonight, and the men's 400 free relay is going for their 3rd consecutive win, is seated 1st going into finals tonight as well.

 

In the 200 back, Pedro Illescas finished 1st (1:52.11), Hayden Pendergraft 13th (2:02.67), Simon Roberts 19th (2:25.23), and Dwayne Foxworth 20th (2:33.73).

In the 100 free, Alex Sobers finished 1st (46.16), Adrian Aleksandrowicz 3rd (46.63), Rafael Mendes 6th (46.95), and Jarred Stigant 8th (47.30).

In the 200 breast, Camilo Mendoza finished 1st (2:08.12), Andrew Reichenbach 9th (2:15.82), Robert Jones 11th (2:16.76), and Cristhian Carrasquilla 17th (2:24.52). 

In the 200 fly, Pedro Illescas finished 1st (1:52.84), David Brown 17th (2:10.71), and Julian Perry 22nd (2:35.77).

Head Coach, Allen Gilchrest commented; "Another great morning, with 13 men advancing to the finals tonight. 1 session to go, and our guys have a chance to become EC's first swimming conference championship team! We give God the glory! GO LIONS!"
