10 SWIMMERS ADVANCE TO FINALS

Annapolis, MD: The Emmanuel men's & women's swim are competing at the 2017 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships at the United State Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Only the top 16 in each event advance to the finals each night. 10 EC swimmers earned top 16 spots for tonight's first night of finals. GO LIONS!

Day 1 – Morning prelims

On the men's side In the 200 free relay (Aleksandrowicz, Stigant, Sobers, Mendes) finished 6th in 1:23.97

In the 500 free, Alex Sobers, finished 9th 4:33.62) Stanislas Raczynski 18th (4:39.01) Richard Williamson 26th (4:49.15)

In the 200 IM, Camilo Mendoza fished 11th (1:52.03) Robert Jones 44th (2:04.08)

In the 50 free, Adrian Aleksandrowicz finished 6th (20.55) Jarred Stigant 28th (21.43) Rafael Mendes 31st (21.49) Andrew Reichenbach 44th (21.90)

In the 400 medley relay (Aleksandrowicz, Mendoza, Illescas, Sobers) finished 2nd in 3:21.77

 
On the women's side In the 200 free relay (Ribeiro, Tobo, Ostojska, Monges) finished 5th in 1:38.41
In the 500 free, Audrey Johnstone finished 18th (5:10.30), Megan Dawes 24th (5:23.80)
 
In the 200 IM, freshmen Anna Calka finished 19th (2:10.82) A new EC school record. Senior Diana Tobo finished 30th (2:16.90)
In the 50 free, Clara Monges finished 24th (24.75) Karolina Ostojska 30th (25.12)
