The Lions Tennis Team faced the team from Spartanburg Methodist on Homecoming Saturday and won impressively, 8-1. The Lions were playing without the services of no. 1 Ty Smith, and the only loss of the day came at no. 1 doubles, where Smith usually plays. Even at that, Smith's usual partner, Pasha Zinchenko, teamed up with freshman Zach Tyner and the two nearly pulled out a win, losing 6-8. All of the Lions played confidently and aggressively winning all the rest of the matches quite easily.
The Lions' next action, and the last match of the fall season, comes on October 20th at home against Oxford College.
