Franklin Springs, GA - The Emmanuel College Men's Tennis Team served as host to the Brewton Parker College Barons today for the final match of the season.
The doubles matches were on the way and the Lions looked extremely strong today! The first point came by the hands of Seniors, Forehand/Norris on court #3 by a solid 8-0, followed by the Freshmen, Canadas/Watteeuw also by 8-0. The last point was also in favor of the Lions by Dodson/Anglin by 8-0.
EC started the singles play with a great 3-0 lead but they were not looking to slow things down. The first singles point came from the Freshman Juan Carlos Romero on court #1 by 6-1 6-0, followed by the senior Braden Anglin on court #3 by 6-1 6-0, and then by the sophomore Enrique Alcacer, on court #2, by 6-2 6-0. The last three points were also for the EC Team: on court #4 the senior David Forehand abused of quick down the line shots and spent little time on court with a 6-0 6-1 win. The freshman Dustin Dodson followed with a solid 6-1 6-0 win on court #5 and the last point of the day was from the Senior Cody Norris, with an impressive 6-0 6-1 win.
This was the final match Emmanuel Men's Tennis Team this season. The EC Tennis Team said goodbye to three seniors today, Cody Norris, David Forehand, and Braden Anglin. We wish only the very best to these three young men as the move on to the next chapter of their lives as EC graduates!
