WINSTON SALEM, NC. - The Men's Track and Field team was back in action on the track in Winston Salem, NC at the JDL Fast Track complex. Coming back from Christmas break, the team hit the ground running and have been hard at work to prepare for the first meet of the semester. Considering a heavy and difficult week of training the men performed very well.
Freshmen Will Boomer and Jake Morgan had strong showings in their respective events, nearly setting lifetime personal bests. James Blake, a mid-year transfer to EC, showed extremely promising potential in the 200 meter dash, winning his heat despite slipping in the blocks on the start. This is his first race back from two years being away from the sport.
The meet was a dual scoring format so each team could see how their performance stacks up against other individual teams. Emmanuel stacked up very well against the competition beating several conference and regional NCAA DII teams.
