FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. - The Emmanuel College Men's Volleyball Team took on Brewton Parker for Saturday morning's game. In a quick 3-setter, the Lions easily took down the Baron's 25-7, 25-12, 25-13.
The Baron's weren't able to handle the Lions offense throughout the match. At the end of the first set, Emmanuel had a .900 hitting percentage and were ready to carry the momentum into set two. The second set saw a new starting lineup, with several Lions making their debut on the court. Freshman outside hitters David Gonzales (#2) and Alejandro Zayas (#10) led the new lineup with 4 kills each and 9 aces between the two of them. In the third and final set, the Lions again cruised to an easy 25-13 victory.
Emmanuel had very aggressive serves, finishing the match with 24 aces. With a .537 hitting percentage, this marked the best match of the season thus far.
We will see the Lions again when they take on Conference opponent Limestone College on Wednesday, Jan. 24th at home.
