Women's Basketball Drops Game to Mount Olive

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College Women's Basketball Team took on Mount Olive University for Saturday's game. After coming off two back to back conference wins, the ladies fell short to the Trojans. 

Emmanuel did well throughout the first half, leading 39-32 by halftime. The Lions continued to hold the lead into the fourth quarter, but the Trojans began to gather some momentum with 5 minutes left in the game. Up 70-63, Emmanuel allowed UMO to score 10 consecutive points and take the lead. The Lions would add three more points to the board with free throws from Taylor Delasbour (#34) and Lochlain Corliss (#23), but could not score again. Mount Olive finished off the game with a final score of 77-75.

This marks the first conference loss for the ladies and brings their record to 4-2 overall, 2-1 conference.

Emmanuel was led by Mikayla Trombley (#3) with 24 points and 3 rebounds.
