Lady Lions Fall to Second Conference Match against Limestone

GAFFNEY, Sc – The Emmanuel Women's Basketball Lady Lions hit the road to take on Limestone for their second match of the season yet came home with their second loss to the team, 64-71.

Lochlain Corliss led the ladies with 25-points and 8-rebounds. Ajah Taylor was up at the basket rebounding with ten.

Avery Scarbrough started the first quarter with a jump shot following a jump shot from the Saints. Limestone took a small lead early up 9-12. Hanna Grogan and Lochlain Corliss scored to push the ladies forward. The first quarter ended with the Lady Lions up 20-15. The Lady Lions had the lead for most of the second quarter until they gave fouls away to Limestone. The Saints came back to go into the half 34-37. The Saints continued with their lead throughout the third and fourth quarter. The Lady Lions played a tough game, but the Saints pulled out a win 64-71.

The Lady Lions now hold an overall record of 13-8, with a conference of 8-7. The team will be away on Wednesday, February 14th at Mount Olive. That game will begin at 5:30 PM.
