Women’s Bowling Advances to National Championship

Stratford, NJ – The women's bowling team competed at the Intercollegiate Team Championship Sectional Qualifier this past weekend. At the qualifier, the teams bowl 64 games over the weekend with the top 4 men and women's team advancing on to the National Championships in Wichita, Kansas on April 21-23.

The Lady Lions were assigned to the East sectional in Stratford, New Jersey which not only contained the 4 top ranked USBC Collegiate Women's teams, but also has 4 of the top 16 ranked  NCAA teams, for a total of 8 ranked teams. Among this tough competition, the EC Women's team finished 4th to earn a spot in the final 16 and will compete for the National Championship next month.

The USBC Collegiate Team Championship will have a combination of all Collegiate teams, NAIA, NCAA, and Club Teams. There are over 150 registered Teams with USBC Collegiate and it is a huge accomplishment for our women to advance for the 2nd year in a row.
