Lady Lions Qualify For NCCAA Nationals

Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Woman's Golf team finished first in the Emmanuel Invitational. On September 26th, the first day of the tournament, the Lions finished the day with a score of 336. On September 27th the ladies finished day two with a score of 324, wrapping up the two-day tournament with an overall score of 660.

Leading her team in the final standings, Ryann McCuistion finished the two-day tournament with a combined round 1 and 2 score of 158. McCuistion finished first in the standings and tied with Claire Page from Southern Wesleyan. Having both ladies tied at first they would go into a playoff round to claim first place, and Emmanuel's Ryann McCuistion would come out on top. Not far behind her was Megan Boswell who placed third with a total score of 163. Wrapping up the top three scores for the Lady Lions was Cierra Hoyle who came in fourth place with a total score of 164. Congratulations to the Lady Lions for winning the Emmanuel Invitational and great job to Ryann McCuistion for being the top scorer and the overall individual winner!

The Lady Lions winning the NCCAA regional automatically qualifies them for nationals along with Ryann's first low medalist of her career. Also Ryann's first place finish gives him an automatic individual bid to nationals.

The Emmanuel Women's Golf team will return to the course on October 3rd at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. Keep up the great work Lady Lions!
