Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Mount Olive

Franklin Springs, GA – The women's lacrosse team took on highly ranked Conference Carolina opponent Mount Olive on Sunday. Unable to handle the offense of the Trojans, the Lions were defeated 17-3.

Starting off the game with a big lead, the Trojans put up 7 points before Emmanuel was able to score. The first goal of the afternoon for the Lions came from Haley Larson with an assist from Allie Brock. It the second half the Lions were able to score again with another goal from Haley Larson. The final goal for the ladies came from Allie Brock with 11 minutes left in the game.

Despite the loss, senior Haley Larson had the following to say, "I'm proud of my team for being optimistic and continuing to fight through the last seconds of the game."

With this loss, the Lions overall record stands at 7-9 and conference record at 1-7. The next match for the ladies will be the final game of their season, marking senior night. On Wednesday April 13th at 6:00 PM, the seniors will be recognized for their hard work and contribution to the women's lacrosse program. Please come out and show support to these ladies as they play the last game of their collegiate careers.
