Lady Lion Lacrosse Falls to North Greenville University

Franklin Springs, Ga. – The Lady Lions hosted the North Greenville University for one more conference game in this season. After four straight wins, the Lady Lions came out with a loss against North Greenville for 18-5. The Lady Lions still have 3 more conference games. Until now, they have 3 wins and 3 losses.

The Lady Lions had a hard time in the first half losing for 13-1. In the second half, they came out strong, playing beautifully and equally, but it was not enough to win the game. The Lady Lions dominated draw controls by commanding 15 out of the 24 during the game.

On the offensive front, Hanna Hernandez  and Lara Russell  score 2 goals each one. Tara Larson  was responsible for 1 goal. Hanna Hernandez and  Aleah Marijanich contributed with 1 assistants each one. Tara Larson  led the team with 6 groundballs and also, she had 7 out of the 15 draw controls for the Lady Lions.

Defensively, Lara Russell  led the team in caused turnovers claiming 3 out of the team total of 14. Tiana Machado and Emma Pow shared the goal. For 31:25 minutes, Emma Pow had 3 saves out of 17 shots taken against her. Tiana Machado for 28:35 minutes had 4 saves out of 8 shots taken against her. The team successfully completed 10-15 clears.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on Saturday, April 1st at 12:00 PM at Mount Olive.
