Lady Lions Soccer Fall 1-3 to Belmont Abbey

Franklin Spring, GA – The lady lions were defeated by Belmont Abbey 3-1. After this lost the Lady Lions are now 1-6-1 overall and 1-1-1 conference play.

The Crusaders came in strong scoring the first goal in the first 16 minutes of the game. However, the Lady Lions stayed in the game and were able to keep the Crusaders from scoring again till half time. While keeping the Crusaders from scoring we were able to gain some momentum and maintain ball possession. 

The second half was intense with the ball going back and forth majority of the time, unfortunately the Crusaders were able to have ball possession and score. With great passion Stephanie Lamm scored for the Lady Lions with five minutes to go.  The Crusaders came back strong and scored again with one minute to spare. The Lady Lions held the ball strong but ran out of time fall to the Crusaders 1-3.

The Lady Lions soccer will be playing again on September 26 at Newberry at 4:00 p.m.
