Tigerville, SC - The Lady Lions fought hard today against the North Greenville Crusaders in a game that resulted in double overtime and ultimately a tie of 1-1. After this tie, the Lady Lions are 1-2-2 in conference and 1-8-2 overall.
The Lady Lions came out strong in first half of the game by scoring their first goal during the first fifteen minuets of the game. Kate Estrada showed off her skill by scoring the first goal of the game and Natalie Stevenson assisted her. Unfortunately, the Crusaders were hot on the Lady Lions heels and they also scored a goal during the 24th minute of the game.
During the second half, both teams remained scoreless, which resulted in double overtime. In total, the Lady Lions had fifteen shots on goal that were unfortunately unsuccessful, but their rock solid defense left the Crusaders scoreless as well.
