Lady Lion's Soccer team wins first game of season 3-0 in home game against Shaw University

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. — Shaw University's women's soccer team played Emmanuel's Lady Lions at Emmanuel, falling to the Lions in a 3-0 final score.

Emmanuel's Lions made 15 shot on goals. Despite 15 saves by Shaw's goal keeper, Emmanuel scored a total of three goals. Including Stephanie Lamm's 8 shots, Emmanuel totaled 20 shots.

In the first half, Lindsay Lee scored two goals, followed by Kayla Brown's winning goal in the second half at 73:42. Lady Bears tallied only three shots, Lady Lions successfully blocking each; fielder Marina Eisenhut tallied one save.

Congratulations to Lady Lion's Soccer for a fantastic first match of the season! The Lady Lions will play their next game at Georgia Southwestern on Sept. 9 at 5 p.m.
