Women's Soccer Defeats Georgia Southwestern

AMERICUS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College Women's Soccer team traveled to Georgia Southwestern yesterday to take on the Canes. 

The Lady Lions started off strong with a goal from Sophomore Lindsay Lee at 28:14. Already off to a good start, just 8 minutes later, Sophomore Katie Estrada followed suit with a goal of her own, bring the Lions up 2-0.

In an attempt to hold on in the second period, Georgia Southwestern's Shatyriah Crawford scored her first goal of the season, lessening the Lions lead to just 1. 

Emmanuel was able to persevere through the remainder of the match and close out the game 2-1, taking the victory.

The Lady Lions will be on the road for their next match Sep. 9th against Chowan. The game is set to start at 12:00 PM.
