Women's Soccer Falls to Erskine

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College Women's Soccer team took on Erskine at home after having their previous game postponed due to weather. The Flying Fleet were quick to take control in the first period, with a staggering 13 shots before the Lions had even 1 attempt. at 34:02, Erskine's Hayden Banks scored the first goal of the night to give Erskine the lead.

When the Lions returned from half time, they looked much better working the ball toward the opponents goal. At 67:48 Lindsay Lee (#14) scored Emmanuel's first goal of the night, assisted by Alyssa Hearn (#18). This was Lindsay's 4th goal of the season.

In the final 8 minutes, Erskine's Hayden Banks would once again score to bring the score to 2-1. The Flying Fleet were able to hold that lead for the remainder of the game.

The game leaders were Lindsay Lee with 1 goal, Alyssa Hearn with 1 assist, and Marina Eisenhut (#1) with 5 saves.

The Lions next game will be Saturday when they take on Converse College on the road.
