Women's Soccer Ends Season with Victory

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College Women's Soccer Team took on Lees-McRae for their final game of the season. After a previous loss to Belmont Abbey, this would be their final chance to improve their Conference Carolinas ranking. 

Ten minutes into the game, Stephanie Lamm (#2) scored the first goal with an assist from Kayla Brown (#11) to take an early lead. Several minutes passed without much action until 22:47 when Lees-McRae was able to shoot one in to tie the score. Goal keeper Marina Eisenhut (#1) racked up three more saves in the period to head into second half.

When the game resumed, Lees McRae had three more shots on goal which were again saved by Marina Eisenhut. At 76:09, Emmanuel's Lindsay Lee (#14) scored another goal to take the lead 2-1. The Lions would hold the lead for the remainder of the match and take the victory.

This game marked the end of the regular season for Emmanuel who finished with an overall record of 8-7-1.
