WOMEN SWIMMING DEFEATED 186-76

Franklin Springs, GA; The Lady Lion's competed against NCAA Div. II Carson-Newman University in their last home dual meet of the season. Senior captain's Laura Gonzalez, Diana Tobo, and Paisley Whitaker where recognized for their outstanding accomplishments, and will be greatly missed.

Head Coach, Allen Gilchrest commented; "It has been my privilege and honor to be their coach. We will miss them greatly, but we have some work left to do, as we prepare for our Conference Championships in February!"
Top 3 performances included:
In the 200 Medley relay (Tobo, Calka, Gonzalez, Ostojska) finished 2nd in 1:55.40. In the 1000 free, Morgan Harkness finished 2nd in 11:17.24. In the 200 free, Laura Gonzalez finished 2nd in 1:57.88. In the 100 back, Diana Tobo finished 3rd in 1:02.09.
In the 100 breast, Morgan Harkness finished 2nd in 1:11.86. In the 200 fly, Laura Gonzalez finished 2nd in 2:15.48. Audrey Johnstone finished 3rd in 2:16.22. In the 50 free, Karolina Ostojska finished 2nd in 26.14. In the 200 back, Diana Tobo finished 2nd in 2:12.83. Anna Calka finished 3rd in 2:15.63.
In the 500 free, Audrey Johnstone finished 3rd in 5:25.72. In the 100 fly, Laura Gonzalez finished 3rd in 1:02.44. In the 200 Free relay (Johnstone, Dawes Peiterse, Calka) finished 2nd in 1:45.33.
 
Next up, the Lady Lions travel to Gaffney, South Carolina on Saturday (January 21st, 2017) to compete against Conference Carolina's rivals, Limestone College, on their Senior day. GO LIONS!
