WOMEN SWIMMING EARNS 8 SPOTS IN FINALS TONIGHT

Christiansburg, VA: Women's swimming competed in prelims this morning, in the 10th Annual Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships. 8 individual women finished in the top 16 and will compete in finals tonight. Freshmen, Juliana Ribeiro set a new EC school record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.61.

In the 500 free, Johnstone (5:13.21) placed 3rd, Dawes (5:21.45) 6th, Harkness (5:33.93) 13th

In the 200 IM, Calka (2:13.01) placed 4th, Tobo (2:15.29) 6th, Duarte (2:20.05) 12th, Burtt (2:47.02) 27th.

In the 50 free, Ribeiro (24.61) placed 6th, Ostojska (25.26) 9th, Queen (28.60) 36th
