Lady Lions drop last match In Clinic Invitational

Columbus, GA - The Lady Lions went 0-3 in their first tournament of the season losing their last match to Columbus State 0 set to 3 at the Hughston Clinic Invitational this evening, hosted by Columbus State. Even though the Lady Lions lost 3-0 they still, once again, never gave up. Starting off to a rocky start losing 12-25 in the first set, the Lions were able to gain some momentum only dropping the second set by two losing 23-25. In the third set the cougars came out strong and the Lady Lions were unable to keep their momentum alive losing the third set 18-25.

Once again, senior Erica Burnham having two good matches leading the Lady Lions with 5 kills, 3 assists, and 10 digs. Freshman Stephanie Hardy also having some great matches for her first collegiate tournament had 16 assists, 2 kills, and 2 digs. Two other freshman on the team, Sarah Neill and Bethany Winston, tied with Erica Burnham with all three having 10 digs each.
