Lady Lions Volleyball Fall in Second Conference Match

Mount Olive, NC - The Lady Lions volleyball team drop in second conference game against Mount Olive, 1 set to 3. After this game, the Lady Lions' record is 2-8 and 0-2 in conference games. 

The Lady Lions started off strong winning the first set 25-20 and continued to fight the entire game despite their loss in four sets. Going into the second and third set, the momentum of the game went back and forth from point to point. Unfortunately, the Lady Lions fell in very tight second and third sets, 24-26 and 23-25. The Trojans took control from the start of the fourth set and didn't lose momentum as they won the final set 25-16.

Leading the way for the Lady Lions in kills and third most in digs was freshman Sarah Neill with 14 kills and 11 digs. Another Freshman, Stephanie Hardy had an outstanding 3 kills, 35 assists, and 13 digs. Sophomore Julie de Blanck followed right behind Sarah Neill in kills with 12. 

The Lady Lions will be back at it again for their first home game against Limestone on September 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
