Lady Lions Volleyball Fall To King University

Franklin Springs, GA - The Lady Lions volleyball team falls to King University in a tight five setter 2-3. After this lose the Lady Lions record is now 9-15 and 6-9 in conference play.

The Lady Lions came out strong against the king Tornado on Senior Night tonight. The first set went back and forth with both teams fighting for every play to take the first set. The Lady Lions came out on top, winning the first set 26-24. 

Dropping the first set the King Tornado's let that motivate them and fight even harder. The Tornado came out on fire in the second set, taking control of the set early. Unfortunately, the Lady Lions fell too far behind and wasn't able to catch back up, losing the second set 19-25.

The Lady Lions did not let losing the second set get them down, but they let the set fuel them allowing them to take control of the third set. The Lady Lions would win the set 25-22 leading the match 2 games to 1, only needing to win one more set to win the match. 

Leading into the fourth set, the King Tornado's found their momentum back and took the set 25-21. Having the game tied at 2-2 the Lady Lions and King Tornado went into a fifth set and the first one to 15 would win. Unfortunately, the lady Lions fell in the fifth and final set 11-15, losing the match 2 sets to 3. 

The Lady Lions volleyball team will be back in action again tomorrow at home against Lees-McRae at 2:00 p.m.
